Attorney Sahar Malek graduated from Beverly Hills High School in 2001, and went on to receive her B.A. in English Literature from California State University, Northridge in 2007. Ms. Malek graduated from Whittier College, School of Law in 2011 with a J.D. degree and a concentration certification in Business Law.
At Whittier, she was the President of student organizations including the Iranian Law Student Association, and Middle Eastern Law Student Association, as well as an Officer for other organizations including the Whittier Law Intramural Club. These organizations were responsible for major on-campus events to aid students in understanding what to expect from life after law school, as well as other networking events. From 2010-2011, she was also the research assistant to her Professor, Thomas Kelch, conducting research for the Animal Legal Defense Fund.
While in school, Ms. Malek interned for Kazerouni Law Group, APC working on consumer protection and personal injury matters. Since then, she worked for the Law Offices of Howard D. Silver, expanding on her experience and understanding of consumer protection laws and rights. There, she represented clients against manufacturers such as Mercedes-Benz, Audi, BMW, Ford, Nissan, and Volkswagen.
Ms. Malek was raised in Beverly Hills, CA and spent a significant portion of her life training in martial arts. She took an early interest in real estate and has been involved with investment projects since 2003. Currently, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and reading. Her guilty pleasures include fries and watching reality shows on Bravo. She is fluent in English and Farsi, and can speak conversational Spanish and French.
In 2011, she began training courses in mediation and has since received certificates of mediation from entities such as the Orange County Human Relations which collaborates with the Orange County Superior Court system as well as the Center for Civic Mediation in Los Angeles.
Ms. Malek is admitted to practice in the state of California and is a member of the following organizations:
